Americas Award

The Americas Award recognizes excellence in children's books that portray Latin America, the Caribbean, or Latinx in the United States

Addams Award

The Jane Addams Children’s Book Award recognizes children’s books of literary and aesthetic excellence that effectively engage children in thinking about peace, social justice, global community, and equity for all people.

Batchelder Award

The Mildred L. Batchelder Award recognizes outstanding children's books published in the United States that originated in another country and were translated from a language other than English.

Belpré Award

The Pura Belpré Award honors the first Latina librarian at the New York Public Library by recognizing a Latinx writer and illustrator for a work that portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience.

Caldecott Award

The Caldecott Medal, in honor of 19th century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott, recognized distinguished American picture books.

Keats Award

The Ezra Keats Award honors early-career illustrators and writers of children's books that reflect our diverse population, the universal experience of childhood, and strength of family.

O'Dell Award

The Scott O'Dell Award recognizes outstanding works of historical fiction.

Orbis Award

The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Orbis Pictus Award recognizes excellent works of nonfiction for children.

Rivera Award

The Tomás Rivera Book Award honors authors and illustrators of children's books that depict the Mexican American experience.

Sibert Award

The Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Medal is for distinguished informational children's books.
